The “Ukrtelecom”’s subscribers, living in the uncontrolled part of the Donetsk region, have lost an opportunity to enjoy telephony services and Internet access.

The national operator “Ukrtelecom” suspended providing fixed line services to near 200 thousand subscribers in the uncontrolled part of the Donetsk region. This was told to the Mediasat’s reporter by the company’s press office.

The reason was the seizure of the “Ukrtelecom”’s facilities and office in Donetsk. As a result, the provider decided to disable centralized connection of the Donetsk section to the national network. At that, it is not ruled out that the communication within the Donetsk segment would be available anyway.

The operator has already submitted its notification about the incident to the National Commission for the State Regulation of Communications and Informatization (NCCIR) and the law enforcement authorities.

Let us recall that in January, the seizure of its Donetsk office was reported on by the telecom operator Vega.
