The Company Digital Television (DT) of VGTRK Media holding launches the channel ANI in August of the present year, designed for children’s audience.

According to Sergey Koshlyakov, DT Deputy CEO, the channel’s programs will focus on 5-11-year girls, but the broadcaster also plans to attract boys of the same age, as Kabelschik (Cableman) reports.
Koshlyakov said that ANI’s content would be formed in the ratio of 70 to 30, i.e. more preference would be given to programs for girls, but without “mimimi”, as they say.
The content of the girls’ channel will be mainly the foreign one, as there are actually a few TV products for children of this age on the Russian market. The DT management plans to start developing this segment.
Sergey Koshlyakov said that they had been designing the project Tsarevna (Princess), which didn’t have any customer at present due to its high price, but, in his opinion, it would be able to become an excellent pilot story.
