The Head of the National Television Company of Ukraine quits, as the “Mediaport” reports, referring to Mr. Alasania’s resignation letter.
“Please accept my voluntary resignation on November 1, 2016”, as stated in the resignation letter of the Director of the National Television Company, filed to Oleg Nalyvaiko, Head of the State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting (Goskomteleradio).
The resignation, according to Mr. Alasania himself, was triggered by two factors: a slow rate of setting up Public Broadcaster and an unclear situation with budgeting Eurovision 2017.
“I resign today. And this is probably the very way to draw attention to the problems with the Eurovision budget and the one of the future Public Broadcaster”, as Mr.Alasania resumes.
As it was announced before, the Public Broadcasting would start on January 1, 2017 in Ukraine.
