One of the telecom companies will start actively developing 5G technology in the coming year, as the BELTA informs.

So, the development of the fifth-generation networks will be undertaken by the company beCloud with the assistance of a number of telecom vendors.

As is known, 5G allows for making Internet Bandwidth of 1 Gbit/s and higher.

Sergey Poblaguyev, Director General at beCloud, stressed that the running 4G-networks would be also aimed at 5G operation in the near future.

“Our company will do its best to introduce Belarus with what is called 5G technology just in the coming year. Although it is worth making a point of the fact that 5G is sheduled for international standardization in 2020, and for the time being, this technology represents a fragmentary solution of certain producers”, as Mr. Poblaguyev said.

He also remarked that, in case of cooperation between beCloud and the leading telecom companies, Belarus can create a number of test areas for next-generation networks.
