The telecom operator Vodafone Ukraine has changed its legal name from PrJSC “MTS Ukraine” to PrJSC “VF Ukraine”. At the same time, mobile services will go on being provided under the Vodafone brand.

On 23 May 2017, the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, Individual Enterpreneurs and Public Organizations of Ukraine registered a new legal company name like PrJSC “VF Ukraine”. This was reported to the Mediasat by the mobile operator’s press office.

“The company’s renaming is the termination of the next phase of the Vodafone Brand Transition Program in Ukraine, which provides for introducing Vodafone’s tariffs and services to the market, launching 3G, rebranding company shops and dealer outlets, as well as designing and running new 3G technology-based services and tools”, as the press offices’s statement says.

Let us recall that in October 2015, the Vodafone entered into an agreement with the Russian mobile group MTS on using the Vodafone brand in Ukraine for the first time.

Today, the “VF Ukraine” is one of the top-three Ukrainian operators, ranking second. The operator is 100% owned by the Dutch company Prelludium B.V. and is incorporated into the international MTS Group. As of late March of present year, the company’s services were enjoyed by 20.7 million subscribers. In the first quarter of this year, the operator’s revenue amounted to UAH 2.84 billion.
