The Ukrainian Cyber Police joined the operation of the US and European law enforcement officers to stop activities of xDedic, a popular marketplace in Darknet. This news was posted on the Cyber Police’s website.

On evidence, xDedic dealt with selling access to hacked servers. Up until its shut down, the resource managed to grant more than 70,000 passwords and logins to users in 170 countries of the world.

As it turned out, they were three Ukrainians who founded marketplace and supervised that resource’s main activities. In this regard, an international joint group of the Prosecutor General’s officers and the National Police of Ukraine, as well as the Federal Cyber Crime Unit of Belgium, Europol, FBI and the US Internal Revenue Service, conducted searches in nine locations all over Ukraine.

Their actions resulted in seizing some IT systems and interrogating the above three suspects. The operation of xDedic was suspended, and the criminal infrastructure was condemned.

It is stated that this case has been still investigated in three countries (Ukraine, Belgium, USA).
