The advertisement market in Russia showed a small growth regardless the number of pessimistic forecasts. According to Association of Communication Agencies in Russia advertising income in national currency increased by 4 % and reaching 340 billion rubles.
It looks worse in dollar equivalent, Vice Minister of Communications and Mass Media Alexey Volin says. The advertising income decreased from 10 to 5 billion dollars.
The share of TV commercials in the total income is 159,8 billion rubles (this includes 4,1 billion of cable and satellite TV), which is 2 % more compared to 2013. The radio ads market showed the same growth, income from outdoor ads didn’t change.
The printed media are loosing advertisers’ interest, its income decreased by 11 %. The internet ads showed the same trend, its income decreased by 5%.
In front of this context ads is leader on the market, its share increased by 27 % reaching now 80 % of resources.
