The Gazprombank’s reported data for 2014 revealed that Gazprom-Media Holding (GPM) experienced losses amounting RUR 2,094 billion due to purchasing ProfMedia Ltd., as Interfax.ru informs.
GPM’s net profit in 2013 totalled RUR 8,63 billion.
We shall recall that the company acquired Vladimir Potanin’s Holding for USD 602 million, as it became known a year ago.
During the past year the Holding caused losses to GPM, amounting RUR 1,063 billion. The loss of RUR 88 million was also caused by Red Media TV channel producer, purchased by NTV-Plus Company (part of GPM Holding).
Last year the Holding’s operating profit decreased up to RUR 7,118 billion, though it constituted RUR 12,901 billion a year before.
The income in 2014 grew by 28,3% (RUR 72,027 billion), while in 2013 it totalled RUR 56,161 billion.
The price of GPM’s assets constituted RUR 124,856 billion at the end of December, compared with RUR 87,223 billion for the same period in 2013.
