The pay-TV service Divan.TV did not put up with the actions of the law enforcement authorities and gained its point through legal proceedings.

We shall recall that on September 17 the Mediasat received information that the Kiev police carried out a search at the office of the Divan.TV Company. The checks resulted in seizing servers and computer equipment, which complicated the provider’s operation.
The next day, September 18, the company organized a press conference and told about reasons for the search, that day events and the misconduct of the Ministry of Internal Affairs while fighting against piracy.
At the same time the management of Divan.TV stated that it was not going to accept the situation and was about to prepare documents for filing a lawsuit to return the seized equipment.
And now, according to the information on the company’s official web site, it became known that the Divan.TV defended its position. On October 6, the Darnytsa District Court of Kiev studied the situation and position of the provider that insisted on illegal actions of the police officers while making the search and seizure of office equipment, and the court ruled in its favor.
According to the ruling not subject to appeal, all the seized office equipment must be returned to the Divan.TV. The issue on the company’s servers is still under the trial.
