Belarus sets up 4G networks

LTE standard will provide Belarus residents with mobile Internet at 300 Mbit/s.

In the Republic of Belarus, the telecommunications operator beCloud will set up 4G networks, as the news agency BELTA quotes the statement of Sergei Popkov, the Minister of Communications and Informatization.
According to him, the high-priority phase of implementing 4G-networks will take place in Minsk, the capital of Belarus, in December this year. Sergei Popkov also announced the launch of the State Data Center, which will provide services of hosting and personal server housing, as well as will start cloud services.
Among other things, the Minister of Communication informed that the government allocated BYR 3.7 trillion for the telecommunications infrastructure development, 18% of which will be funded by the budget, and the remaining amount by operators.
