A year after the Sudum system’s operation, the 1+1 Media holding told about the progress of its own development.

At year-end 2016, the media group’s content cleaning efficiency was 93.5%. At that, one hundred percent of complaints are satisfied by the largest web-resources, according to the portal AIN.UA, referring to Denis Nekrasov, chief of video content distribution and copyright control at 1+1 Media.

For the time being, the platform focuses on searching videos. The company managed to achieve good results in blocking illegally posted video content on the platforms like Facebook, “VKontakte”, “Odnoklassniki”, Mail.ru, YouTube, Vimeo and Dailymotion.

Once illegal video detected, Sudum automatically sends complaints to the site administration, hosting providers and domain name registrars. In terms of social networks, the system sends a complaint only to the very groups and profiles that “uploaded” videos. At the same time, the Sudum skips users who share such content.

In the future, the system functionality can be extended, and in addition to video, it will be able to search the Web for illegal music, e-books, software, and computer games.

The Sudum platform, which monitors the Internet for copyright abuse in a real-time mode, was presented by the 1+1 Media along with launching its VoD platform OVVA TV in February 2016.
