The Government postponed the analog terrestrial TV cut-off.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine rescheduled the analog terrestrial TV cut-off from June 30 to March 30, 2018. This is featured by the “Detector Media”, referring to the text of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers №563 “On Amending Section I of the Ukrainian Radio Frequency Resource Use Plan” dated 19 July 2017 and amended on 9 August 2017.

The text of the above resolution states that the deadline for using radio technology “analog television broadcasting” shall be extended from 30 June 2017 to 30 March 2018.

At the same time, on July 4, at its meeting, the Government adopted its Resolution “On Amending the Ukrainian Radio Frequency Resource Use Plan”, which suggested rescheduling the analog TV cut-off from 30 June 2017 to 30 June 2018.

However, for unknown reasons, the resolution, adopted on July 4, has never been promulgated.

In August, the text of Resolution №563 “On Amending Section I of the Ukrainian Radio Frequency Resource Use Plan” dated 19 July 2017 as amended on 9 August 2017, where already appears the date of 30 March 2018, was posted on the Governments’s portal. The document was made public along with decisions dated August 9.
