The network of the mobile operator Vodafone Ukraine experienced a growing number of smartphones that support the fourth-generation for communication.
According to the operator, the penetration rate of 4G-ready smartphones in the fourth quarter of this year was 20%. This is twice as much as it was a year before.
This growth bit the very operator’s forecasts of reaching a 20% threshold in early 2018.
Evgeniy Donde, 4G Deployment Project Manager at Vodafone Ukraine, believes that the 20% penetration rate of 4G smartphones is sufficient to deploy operator’s fourth-generation commercial networks.
The press release, a copy of which is available to the Mediasat, also remarks that more than a third of all Vodafone subscribers already use USIM cards required to get 4G services.
