In the third quarter of 2017, Vodafone Ukraine doubled its investment.

In the third quarter of this year, Vodafone doubled capital investment in Ukraine, against the same period of previous year, i.e. up to UAH 970 million. Since the start of building 3G network in 2015, the company’s capital investment has exceeded UAH 14 billion.

The main company’s focus remains data services. Vodafone is actively expanding 3G coverage, and today, over 72% of Ukrainians have access to 3G, thus only in Q3, 3G services by Vodafone became available for another 1.6 million Ukrainians in 300 villages and cities of Ukraine.

“We go on augmenting investment in the network, i.e. just in the previous quarter we invested UAH 970 million in the development of the Ukrainian telecom infrastructure, and since the start f its building in 2015 our capital investment have exceeded UAH 14 billion, remain the industry record. This allows us to maintain the quality of services in view of growing consumption and even encourage the latter. In Q3, we were first to offer Unlim 3G tariffs in Ukraine, releasing our customers from calculating their consumed gigabytes and checking their balance”, as stated by Olga Ustinova, CEO at Vodafone Ukraine.

Due to expanding 3G coverage, improving data services, as well growing data usage, Vodafone Ukraine has significantly increased its income from data traffic. The data income growth was 72% in the third quarter of 2017, compared to the same period of the past year. The quarterly earnings from data transmission services amounted to UAH 969 million.

The data traffic revenue growth has become a key value-adder for the company. The income in Q3 2017 grew by 3.8% year-over-year and totaled UAH 3 billion.

Vodafone Ukraine also improved other financial and operating results in Q3 2017:
