On March 30, the National State TV and Radio Company of the Republic of Belarus (BTRC) starts its phased transition to broadcasting in high definition format (HD). Overnight Thursday into Friday, it carries out “transitional” operations that will result in presenting the morning show “Good Morning, Belarus!” in the HD standard.

As announced on the BTRC’ official website, the first HD shows will be available to the audiences of cable and IP-operators doing their business in Minsk and Minsk Region. By the autumn of this year, it is expected to cover the entire Belarus with HD-signal.
