The “1+1 Media” Group launched live online broadcasts of popular Ukrainian TV channels “Gromadske TV”, ZIK, “Channel 8” and “Channel 24”. Online broadcasts will be carried out on the platform 1+1 video by means of the media holding’s video player.
The above TV channels will not be the pioneer broadcasters in the online air of the “1+1 Media”. Earlier, the media group launched online broadcasts of the TV channel “UA: Pershyi”. The experiment turned out successful and gained positive feedback from the audience of the “1+1 Media”’s online projects. Today, the media holding aims at expanding the offer of Ukrainian live content.
“We observe a demand for linear television on the Internet, so we are open for cooperation with Ukrainian TV channels, which make high-quality products. Our goal is to create the added value of 1+1 video as a practical resource for viewing professional TV content online”, as pointed out by Anna Tkachenko, Chief Digital Officer at “1+1 Media”.
For the time being, watching online broadcasts will be for a limited period. Before the end of 2018, the media group plans to introduce a subscription fee and increase access to the content of TV channels on the Internet in 24/7 format.
Today, the 1+1 video platform’s video library accounts for more than 17 thousand hours of content. In addition, the media group’s VOD service carries out live broadcasts of 7 own TV channels like 1+1 International, “1+1”, “2+2”, “TET”, “PLUSPLUS”, “Bigudi”, “UNIAN TV”, as well as 5 partner broadcasters, including ZIK, “UA: Pershyi”, “Gromadske TV”, “Channel 24”, and “Channel 8”.
