Next year, the Kyiv Metro will be fully provided with Wi-Fi Internet access.
By April 2017, all the Metro stations of the Ukrainian Capital will be provided with Internet access, using Wi-Fi wireless connection. This information was published by the news agency UNIAN referring to the statement of Victor Bragin, Head of the Kyiv Metro, made on May, 17.
According to Mr. Bragin, the Wireless Internet Access Implementation Project for the Capital City Metro consists of three phases. The first one (already executed) provides for the Internet access in 20 cars of the Kurenivsko-Chervonoarmiyska Line and at the stations like Teatralna, Ploshcha Lva Tolstoho, Klovska, Maidan Nezalezhnosti, Palats Sportu, Khreshchatyk, Olympiiska, Zoloti Vorota.
By the autumn of 2016, the wireless Intenet access technology will work at another 12 metro stations, and the project will be completed by April 2017. Thus, all the Capital City Metro stations will be covered with Wi-Fi.
