Music Box UA starts digital broadcasting

September 16, the Ukrainian music TV channel Music Box UA started operating within the digital multiplex in Kiev and its Region. It was communicated to the Mediasat’s reporter by the press office of the Music Box UA.

Broadcasting is carried out via TVK 41* (634 MHz) in the DVB-T / MPEG-2 format, following the contract with Era Production, Ltd.
The transmitter power is 1.2 kW, the range is 70-75 km depending on landscape, as stated by the Music Box UA.
The Music Box UA replaced the channel TVi, which suspended its operation. The following TV channels also broadcast via TVK 41: First National, NTN, UBR and Rada.
In Kyiv and the Region the DVB-T standard is also represented by TV channels broadcasting via TVK 43 (650 MHz) and TVK 64 (818 MHz).
TVK 43: Channel 5, NewsOne, RU Music, OTV and ICTV.
64 UHF: Gamma.
The signal can be received by any equipment with a built-in receiver DVB-T: TV-set, TV-tuner, hybrid media center, computer tuner, car receiver, etc.
We shall recall that the Music Box UA started HD broadcasting on September 1. The HD-version of the channel is available in the packages of Ukrainian cable operators, particularly in the Volia’s network. The SD-version of the Music Box UA, as Mediasat reported before, will continue available via satellite.
