BrainBasket launches the first Ukrainian TV channel on IT industry

BrainTV will broadcast free to air even abroad.

BrainTV will be the first Ukrainian TV channel, the main objective of which will be to provide educational programs about the IT-industry and to strengthen the brand in Ukraine and abroad.
The content of the TV channel will consist of educational, informational and entertainment TV programs about IT. The daytime broadcasting will include mainly the programs in Ukrainian, and the evening and the night broadcasting will be in English to deliver information to foreign audience.
According to Vladimir Lulka, Director of the BrainBasket Foundation, the channel will expand the information field of the Ukrainians interested in IT.
The video service Divan.TV is the TV channel’s main technological partner. In March 2016, BrainTV will start a 24-hour test broadcasting by using that platform. In the latter half of 2016, it is intended that the mobile application Divan.TV would also enter into the cable TV networks.
Dmitry Shimkiv, the Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration responsible for reforms also expressed support for the project on behalf of the Presidential Administration.
“The need for exchanging information and experience, getting interesting knowledge, following up latest trends, all of this is inherent in any area. IT requires a contemporary tool, which is online TV. Ukraine is one of the leaders of modern innovative technologies, so the increased standards of knowledge and the ability to ride on the wave of today’s world is a crucial factor for keeping the leading position and further developing in all regions of the country and outside”, as is stated by Mr. Shimkiv.
