Lanet.TV application was removed from Google Play on the complaint of the copyright holder

On 29 July Google has stopped publishing of Lanet.TV mobile application on Google Play due to complaint of Digital Starlight company given.

On July 29 at 1:47 a.m. Google has suspended the publication of our application in the Google Play Store at the request of the representative of Starlight Digital the company. We are doing correspondence with the Google Play team on the resumption of application publication” is written in the publication in Facebook social network.

At the same time, STB and ICTV TV channels stopped broadcasting at the Web version of Lanet.TV service which is available at: alpha.lanet.tv.

The channels are disabled by requirement of the copyright holder Starlight Digital Ltd. At the moment, we are negotiating to resume broadcasting” – says the company’s representatives.

However, watching of these channels is restricted only for audience outside Lanet network, for Lanet users these TV channels are still available. Also, these TV channels are also available in a mobile application for subscribers of the network, if it has been installed prior to removal from the Google Play Store.

Starlight Digital is the part of StarLightMedia group. This is the media platform that allows to watch group’s video content online on all types of digital devices. In addition, StarLight Digital is responsible for monitoring and blocking of group’s video content placed on the Internet illegally. StarLightMedia owns the following TV channels: STB, ICTV, Novy Kanal, M1, M2 and QTV.
