The first amount of money was already transferred by the Ukrainian government to the TV channel’s account, as the “Ukrayinska Pravda” informs, referring to the portal “Krym.Realii”.

It was  announced by the ATR owner Lenur Islyamov.

“We start receiving funding (to the TV channel’s account). By the year-end, we will purchase the missing studio equipment and will make the debt payment for the satellite broadcasting”, as the channel’s owner commented on.

Just before, Mr. Islyamov shared his doubts about a possible start of state financing by Ukraine before the end of 2016.

The decision to allocate funds was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers on December 7.

According to the Ukrainian MP Refat Chubarov, the funding of TV and radio broadcasters in the Crimea and Sevastopol City is budgeted at the amount of UAH 35-36 million.

Let us remark that the ATR analog broadcasting in the Crimea was suspended as far back as on 1 April, 2015 because of non-granting of Russian license. Later, the ATR broadcasts were relaunched in the mainland Ukraine.
