In May, the operator of satellite telecommunications systems Ukrkosmos will start providing services from the new satellite Amos-7, owned by the Israeli company Spacecom.

On May 1, the state-owned enterprise “Ukrkosmos” suspends providing services from the satellite Amos-2. Since that day, satellite broadcasting of TV and radio channels will be carried out from the new vehicle Amos-7 (4°W). This is stated in the operator’s official letter sent to the partner channels (a copy of one of these letters is available to the Mediasat).

In particular, the letter specifies that before May 1, the package of TV channels offered by “Ukrkosmos” will be distributed simultaneously via two satellites like Amos-2 and Amos-7, and after this date, only via the satellite Amos-7.

Let us recall that in late March, the Israeli operator Spacecom along with the state-owned enterprise “Ukrkosmos” introduced the new space vehicle Amos-7 to the Ukrainian TV market that will provide TV and radio broadcasting services and broadband access in an orbital position of 4 degrees west longitude. Amos-7 will also replace the satellite Amos-2, which reached the end of its service life in orbit.
