CNN International started broadcasting in network of Russian Pay TV operator Tricolor TV on April, 29.
We recall, in January 2015 TV channel intended to come back to Russia. CNN has continued broadcasting after getting license in March 2015. Tricolor TV included it in the main service.
Mikhail Goryachev, Content Director in Tricolor TV: “CNN is the TV channel known all over the world, its audience reaches 392 million households, this channel was the first in the world to start broadcasting 24/7. Before the 35th anniversary of CNN its international version became available to our subscribers”.
The representative of Turner Broadcasting: “We are pleased to confirm that CNN International has today resumed broadcasting in Russia”.
CNN International is the next channel in the row of Tricolor TV channels, which are broadcasted in foreign languages (France 24, Deutsche Welle, NHK World, RT, etc.). We recall the first foreign TV channels appeared in the package of the operator in the spring of 2012.
