The entertainment and information channel ATR can be actually watched within the cable networks in almost all Ukrainian regions.

The National Broadcasting Council appealed to the cable TV providers before, requesting to support the ATR’s broadcasting in their networks. According to the regulatory authority, the TV channel’s programs are broadcasted by 112 content service providers, and another 20 companies are about to relay the Crimean Tatar broadcaster in the nearest future.
The National Broadcasting Council reiterates its appeal to those content service providers all over Ukrainian regions that have not joined this initiative yet, to display their solidarity by supporting the ATR.
We shall recall that the TV channel ATR failed to obtain a broadcasting licence of the Roskomnadzor. The Crimean Tatars forwarded letters to the President of Russia and the Chairman of the Peninsula, asking to keep the TV channel operating, but on April 1, the channel announced its close-down in the Crimea. Numerous international organizations and persons expressed their concern about imposing censorship on the Peninsula.
In May, Roman Spiridonov, the ATR’s executive editor, informed through the social network Facebook that the TV channel would be available to watch via the web site.
In June, it became known that ATR would resume its operation on the mainland of Ukraine, as well as would start satellite broadcasting via the space vehicle Astra A4 (4,8oE). A month later, the cable TV provider VOLIA incorporated the channel in its content packages. For the time being, the TV channel ATR is available within the cable networks of Melitopol City.
