Rinat Akhmetov’s company expands its TV broadcasting.

24 September the National Broadcasting Council has issued a DTH-operator licence to the Digital Screens LLC (brand Oll.tv), according to the Telekritika’s publication.
For the time being, the satellite provider’s network ensures the operation of the media holding’s channels like Football 1 and Football 2, Ukraine, Indigo TV and NLO TV, as well as the TV channel of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. The broadcasters’ signal will be relayed encoded via the space vehicle of the SES Sirius Ukraine.
The Mediasat reported that in June, the Ukrainian businessman Mohammad Zahoor sold the satellite platform Xtra TV to Rinat Akhmetov’s media holding. Since that time, the DTH-operator’s package incorporated just two sports TV channels of the media holding, represented there since early October of the past year.
We shall recall that the Media Group Ukraine announced its intentions to keep the brand and the trademark Xtra TV, as well as to create a new DTH-project in Ukraine.
